Experienced Journeyperson Automotive Technician

Automotive Unlimited is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring out the difficult stuff. Someone who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and solving problems that aren’t always obvious the first time around.

Responsibilities

- Advanced diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair drivability, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and A/C concerns
- Repair and maintenance of cars, SUVs, and light trucks
- Use scan tools, wiring diagrams, technical information, and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify concerns
- Complete repairs properly and efficiently once the cause has been identified
- Work independently while contributing to a strong team environment

Required Qualifications

- Several years of industry experience beyond apprenticeship
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent understanding of up-to-date vehicle systems




- Ability to work through complex problems methodically rather than relying on parts replacement
- Professional attitude and strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own professional tools

Assets

- Experience with ProDemand or similar repair information software
- Experience with advanced scan tools and lab scopes
- Aftermarket accessory and performance upgrade experience
