Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over long or short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety
Load and unload cargo with care, often requiring heavy lifting to secure items properly in the truck
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts to ensure transparency and accountability
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Follow all safety protocols,



including proper securing of loads and adherence to hours-of-service regulations
Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including moving freight within storage areas using appropriate equipment

Skills
Proven experience driving heavy trucks with a clean driving record
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of loading or unloading cargo
Robust knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physical tasks involved in loading/unloading freight
Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and compliance with safety standards
