POSITION TITLE: Assistant Support Worker

POSITION SUMMARY: 2 X Temporary Contract Position (Up to 1 year)

Community Homes Program

Haliburton, ON

75 hours Biweekly

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Two-Year College Diploma in DSW or equivalent human services field
Two years full-time equivalent experience in the field of development services or an equivalent human services field
Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating group programs and activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of person-centered planning, QAM indicators, behavioural support plans, rights, and community connections
Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making competencies.
Proof of ongoing qualified learning.
Demonstrated ability in the attainment of person supported outcomes.
Current and Valid Emergency First Aid Certifications are required.




Valid Class G Driver’s License and Acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
Access to a reliable vehicle and proof of valid vehicle insurance including passenger coverage.
Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Relevant experience with intellectual disabilities.
Computer Literacy (Microsoft office, e-mail, internet).

SALARY: Hourly Wage Range – Step 1: $28.80- Step 6: $31.37 75hr Biweekly Annual Salary Range - $56,160.00 – $61,171.50
