The Impact Director for Winnipeg is responsible for the strategic leadership and execution of charitable investments in the Winnipeg area.

We are seeking a results-driven individual to lead our portfolio to execute strategies to solve socio-economic challenges in underinvested populations.

This role is for someone committed to achieving measurable, cost-effective outcomes for the community, with a clear understanding of the risks involved.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of community work in Winnipeg. This position is about making a tangible difference with smart, well-calculated investments that put action on the ground and prioritize realized poverty outcomes for those in Winnipeg.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a comprehensive strategy to address the most pressing areas of poverty in Winnipeg that could best be aided by The Northpine Foundation’s support.

- Work with your team to find organizations in Winnipeg to execute upon the strategy—understand the risks, formulate hypotheses, and invest in actions that directly impact those in need in Winnipeg.

- Recommend investments include diligent engagement and tailored financing (e.g. grants, debt, etc.) of the best potential poverty outcomes models that can be found based on real data, system understanding, and focused objectives across sectors.

- Continually measure what is working and not working on the journey towards success or failure of ventures to keep us learning and accountable for meaningful poverty outcomes in Winnipeg.





- Stay informed about the relevant context and stakeholders to adjust strategies as needed to drive impact and momentum.

- Develop and oversee annual budget and forecast including a charitable investment and grant portfolio of up to $10 million annually with expanded goals based on outcome achievement.

Qualifications

- From and/or currently live in Winnipeg.

- Experience delivering significant, measurable outcomes, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and strategic risk management.

- Experience in strategic planning and operational execution, with a robust track record of successful outcomes across various sectors, i.e. private sector, government, non-profit, volunteer.

- Ability to make data-driven decisions, focusing on real impact while managing risks.

- Capable of navigating complex environments, embracing challenges, and continuously improving strategies and operations.

- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the other Portfolio Directors and operational staff.Lead the Winnipeg Portfolio team.

Up to $150,000 based on experience with competitive benefits.
