Job Title: Senior Mechanic

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; overtime as required on holidays and weekends

Location: Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, Canada

This opportunity supports maintenance and operations activity within an oilfield service environment, with a focus on equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to operational demands. The role is centred on advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, and power systems. This position also contributes to maintenance efficiency, asset uptime, and continuous improvement across both shop and field-based operations.

Required Education
Journeyman Automotive, Heavy Duty, or equivalent mechanical trade qualification

Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield operations or industrial mechanical maintenance
Experience with oilfield service equipment and machinery
Background in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of field equipment
Experience supporting shop and field-based maintenance activities, including emergency repairs

Required Skills:
Advanced diagnostic, maintenance,



and repair capability across diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, fluid handling equipment, generators, and power systems
Solid troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
Proficiency with maintenance management systems and computerized diagnostics
Welding and fabrication knowledge
Robust mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills
Leadership, coaching, and team support capability within a maintenance environment
Solid communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure

Required Certifications:
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, CSTS or equivalent safety certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Red Seal certification
Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License (considered an asset)

Rates from $45-$55/hr, determined by previous experience, qualifications, and certifications.
