Role Description The Intermediate Electrical Designer is a full time, on-site role based in Grande Prairie, AB. This role involves preparing electrical design drawings, layouts, and schematics for power distribution and related systems in industrial and commercial projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and project managers, performing design calculations, supporting field reviews, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

The Intermediate Electrical Designer will update documentation, assist with design revisions, coordinate with other disciplines, and support construction and commissioning activities as needed. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication,



and the ability to manage multiple tasks within project deadlines.

Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years technical working experience.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for industrial and commercial projects, including preparation of drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of Power Distribution systems, including equipment sizing, selection and layout.
- Electrical engineering design of single line diagrams, control schematics, PLC panel packages, contactor panels, and area classification layouts.
- Experience with CAD or electrical design software and familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Diploma Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Grande Prairie, AB, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Previous experience in industrial, commercial, or oil and gas projects is an asset; professional certification or registration is considered beneficial.
