JOB SUMMARY A Naturopathic IV Clinic, located inside a multidisciplinary health centre in North York looking for a skilled IV technician to work under the direction of the Naturopathic Doctor(s). The candidate is expected to establish, monitor and deliver care to patients in the clinic in accordance with all required internal and external professional practice standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform IV compounding and IV administration and discharge in accordance with naturopathic doctors' orders
- Perform vitals on patients before, during and after IV procedures
- Provide care according to the established care plan ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent; care must be within the scope of practice
- Observe and document patient conditions and changes following professional standards
- Understand and implement infection prevention practices
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the clinic's Quality Management System
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify the doctors of any Health & Safety risks or concerns
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate staff/doctors





QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCES

- Must have strong IV skills in preparing and administering IV
- Current evidence of CPR/AED (LEVEL C OR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER (HCP)) Training completion
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks
- English language skills required both verbally and written; multilingualism an asset (Tagalog, Cantonese/Mandarin, Farsi, Korean, etc.)
- Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail to identify unusual occurrences and situations that require doctors' attention
- Proven punctuality and reliability
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
