Invasive Plant Management Technician / Labourer - Full Time, Seasonal

Based in Quesnel or Prince George, BCCountry Road Contracting Limited is a small business with deep roots in Norther British Columbia. We are specialists in invasive plant management and control. We don't cut corners when it comes to the safety of our employees and of our natural resources. Our head office is in Vanderhoof, BC with a secondary office in Grand Prairie, Alberta.

The Opening

Country Road Contracting Limited is seeking:

Invasive Plant Management Technician / Labourers ready to start on Monday for our 2020 summer contracts.

The role of the Invasive Plant Management Technician / Labourer includes:

- Hand digging of invasive plants throughout the Quesnel area.

- Some application of herbicide with a backpack sprayer

- Implement proper management and control practices on a site-to-site basis.

- Promote awareness of invasive species to the public when needed.

- Work is outdoors and can be in remote locations. Work sites include highway and resource road right-of-ways, municipalities and rangeland, etc.

- Work will be Monday to Friday,



10-12 hour days with overtime
- The crew will be driving in from Prince George every day, so it will be convenient for those living in Quesnel or Prince George to apply.

- Safety is our foremost priority.

Qualities We are Looking For:
- Attentive to safety, and able to implement best practices.

- Demonstrate ability to both work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to work hard, but at a steady pace.

- You should enjoy working in the outdoors—This will be your new office!

- Once hired we will walk you through obtaining a free BC Industrial Vegetation Herbicide Applicator’s Certificate. (Unless you have one)

- Country Road Contracting will supply add PPE except for footwear (rubber boots required, steel toes for secondary footwear preferred)
