Looking for Journeyman Electrical Installer

Location: Operations based in SE Calgary, serving Calgary and nearby areas within a 20-minute radius, including MD of Foothills, Rocky View, and Mountain View.

Compensation: $43.27/hour for Journeyman. Qualified 4th-year candidates may be considered at a structured rate.

Position Summary

We’re hiring a skilled Journeyman Electrical Installer to join our dynamic team. This role involves a blend of 70% residential and 30% commercial projects, with the work centered on installing electrical systems on scheduled projects—new construction, renovations, and planned upgrades. Ideal candidates are those eager to make a meaningful impact in a smaller company and are interested in long-term growth, potentially earning an ownership stake.

Please Do Not Apply If:

- You specialize in Industrial Electrical work or PLC systems (we focus solely on residential/light commercial).
- Your expertise lies in Fire Alarm or Heavy Commercial projects (these are not within our scope).
- You’re currently in a critical role at another company and plan to leave abruptly (we value building bridges, not burning them).
- You have less than 4th-year apprentice training (a minimum level of credentials is required).

What You’ll Do

- Install electrical systems on residential and light commercial projects, including new construction, renovations, and planned upgrades.
- Guide and mentor an apprentice as part of a two-person crew on many projects.




- Travel to 1–3 job sites daily using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Complete installation work to code and project specifications, from rough-in through finish, trim-out, and final connections.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

- Recent experience installing residential and light commercial electrical systems is highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (larger cargo space is a plus).
- Proficiency in drafting emails with photo attachments using a smartphone for productive record-keeping.
- Ability to lead a crew or work independently with strong installation skills and meticulous craftsmanship.
