PR General Contractors Inc. is looking for an experienced and skilled Red Seal Carpenter to join our construction team.
Responsibilities
Perform framing, finishing, and general carpentry work.
Work on current construction and renovation projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials.
Install doors, windows, trim, partitions, and other building components.
Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
Supervise, guide, and train apprentices and junior carpenters.
Teach apprentices proper carpentry techniques, tool use, safety procedures, and construction practices.
Review apprentice work and provide practical instruction on job sites.
Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Requirements
Valid Red Seal Carpenter certification is required.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant carpentry experience.
Experience with recent construction is required.
Must be comfortable training and mentoring apprentices.
Solid knowledge of framing, finishing, and general carpentry.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
