Mandate

Reporting to the Academic Director, HCMC, the Project Coordinator will coordinate the various projects, partnerships, research endeavors and daily operations in HCMC.

The Project

Coordinator is responsible for coordinating communications between the HCMC developers and project personnel and providing support to programmers.

The position requires completion of a university degree in a related field and three years related work experience.

Experience Must Include
Project coordination, project evaluation, partnership facilitation, event planning, and workshop facilitation.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge Requirements Include
A solid working knowledge of standard office and planning software (MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word)
Project management best practices, particularly in managing numerous priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
Content management and database experience
Report and grant writing.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills




Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deliver presentations and reports, and ability to adapt writing style to a variety of purposes and audiences
Robust project administration skills, including ability to coordinate, schedule and monitor activities to meet strategic, operational and contractual requirements.
Focus on quality - Demonstrated personal effectiveness to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight
Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning setting

Asset
Graduate degree, with research focus, preferable in a related field
Direct experience managing research projects.
