JamLab is growing! We’re looking for passionate, fun and inspiring professional pianists to join our team of Musical Mentors.

As one of the GTA’s leading fully mobile music schools, JamLab brings personalized music lessons directly to our students’ homes. We’re currently looking for Piano Musical Mentors who are willing and able to travel to students’ homes throughout Midtown Toronto, North Toronto and North York.

Our Musical Mentors get to share their love of music, build meaningful relationships with families and help students grow in confidence and creativity. We take a fun, modern and personalized approach to music education and are looking for musicians who can make lessons exciting and engaging.

Responsibilities
Provide engaging, personalized in-home piano lessons
Teach primarily school-aged children, along with students of varying ages and skill levels
Develop lessons around each student’s musical interests, abilities and goals
Create a positive, supportive and inspiring learning environment
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
Help students prepare for JamLab Family Jams and other performance opportunities
Participate in educational webinars and career development




Provide student progress updates and certificates of completion as required
Support occasional social media and marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking For
Robust piano skills and professional music experience
Experience teaching or working with children is preferred
Passion for contemporary music, including rock, pop and jazz
Skilled performance or gigging experience is an asset
A creative, engaging and less traditional approach to teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organization and time-management skills
Must be willing and able to travel to students’ homes throughout Midtown Toronto, North Toronto and North York
Reliable transportation is an asset
