Associate Director, Digital EnablementLocation:UBC IT | Digital EnablementSalary:$12,755.08 - $19,905.67 CAD per month.Job SummaryThe Associate Director, Digital Enablement provides strategic guidance and expertise to staff and senior leaders engaged in the delivery and support of UBC's application portfolio, ensuring services are aligned with institutional priorities and evolving academic and administrative needs. This role drives application modernization, rationalization, and innovation through robust portfolio governance, lifecycle management, and vendor oversight.ResponsibilitiesLead the evolution of the application portfolio toward increased agility, scalability, and innovation.Assess application fitness, sustainability, cost, and risk, and identify opportunities for rationalization, modernization, and benefits realization.Define and implement enterprise application lifecycle management practices.Provide people leadership, fostering staff engagement, capability development, and workforce resilience.Establish product management practices, including roadmaps, metrics, and executive reporting.Oversee vendor and service provider relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, performance, and contractual compliance.Collaborate to design and sustain an innovation framework for emerging technologies.Set standards and resource alignment for application operations, supporting secure, automated release and deployment.Act as a subject matter expert ensuring services comply with privacy, security, accessibility, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and applicable policies.Partner with privacy and security leaders to mitigate risk and protect institutional and personal information.Provide financial leadership, including budget planning, forecasting, and expenditure oversight.QualificationsPost‑graduate degree.Minimum 11 years of related experience,
