K-12 COLLABORATIVE AND LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER

Daaxiigan S ḵ 'adáa Née K-12 School

An employment prospect exists for a Temporary Full-Time (1.0 FTE) K-12 Collaborative and Learning Support Teacher effective as soon as possible to June 30, 2027 at Daaxiigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School.

Requirements

- A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position;
- Understanding and being committed to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
- High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
- Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
- Assume primary responsibility for designing, instructing, assessing, and evaluating the educational programming of all assigned students;




- Working with the learning services and administrative team to collaboratively develop and implement Individual Education Plans and Behavior Plans;
- Knowledge of school-based teams;
- Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
- Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
- Understanding of local resources and environment;
- Teacher Regulation Branch certification.

Competitive Salary: $120,222 - $75,415 per annum
- Remote and Rural Allowance: $3,500 per annum
- Travel Allowance: $1,206 per annum
- Up to $2,000 relocation allowance upon submission of receipts
