Job involves working on shifts and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.Employer and Job Location: GTA Electrical & Mechanical Services Inc., 51 Republic Ave, Hamilton, ON L9B 2G7Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, dusty and outdoorsDuties and Responsibilities:Drive company vehicle to job sites.Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installationsPull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floorsInstall brackets and hangers to support electrical equipmentInstall, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panelsSplice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuitsTest continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repairTroubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty componentsConnect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signalling devices and heating and cooling systemsUpdate work orders at each shift outlining scope completion and material used.
