Forge Recruitment is partnering with a well-established boutique law firm in Midtown Toronto to recruit an Associate Lawyer for its growing Litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a litigation caseload with a primary focus on creditors' rights, debt recovery, and judgment enforcement matters.
- Represent financial institutions, leasing companies, and other commercial clients in recovery and enforcement proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, settlement materials, and other litigation documents.
- Attend court appearances, motions, mediations, examinations, and other litigation proceedings as required.




- Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel.
- Effectively manage files from inception through resolution while ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters while managing files independently.
- Participate in networking and business development initiatives to support the continued growth of the practice.

What You Bring

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2–3+ years of litigation experience in Ontario.
- Experience in creditors' rights, debt recovery, enforcement proceedings, or commercial litigation is considered a strong asset.
- Strong advocacy, drafting, and legal research skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- An interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.
- Salary: $75,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience.
