The Granite Club is looking for a full-time Night Tennis Maintenance to maintain the Club tennis courts and related Grounds to Granite Club Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

- Inspect Courts at the beginning of each shift to identify surface damage that requires repair.
- Provide accurate information to Member Services and Sports Desk on Court closure and update times.
- Groom and Line Courts.
- Maintain hard courts as required. Use of scrubber, sweeper, and vacuum.
- Add appropriate amounts of water to the court surface in preparation for play at 6:00AM each morning.
- Reposition court dividers ready for play at end of each shift.
- Scarify surface and add material and roll when necessary.
- Switch off court lights whenever possible to conserve energy.
- Check the operation of water coolers and re-stock cups.
- Empty Garbage cans.
- Wipe down water coolers and benches at courts.
- Inspect and clean tennis court trough drains when necessary.
- Items left by Members in Court areas are to be given to Member Services.
- Maintain court walkways- use leaf blowers for leaves,



clear snow with shovels, snow blower or tractor. Add ice melt as required.
- Pull weeds from tennis court perimeter.
- Inspect and take temperature readings of electrical receptacles in Tennis Domes every shift.
- Be familiar with the operation and emergency re-setting of Tennis dome Air Handling Units and back up generators.
- Make adjustments to the Building Automation System as required.
- Checking hoses and irrigation for leaks; repairing, or reporting as necessary.
- Operate Court Irrigation system. Report deficiencies to Grounds Manager.
- Assist in set up and take down of Tennis Domes. (Mandatory – Vacation black out period)
- Maintain tools and equipment required for Tennis Court Maintenance.
- Assist Member Services with Club evacuation in the event of a Fire Alarm per Emergency Procedures.
- Perform Mechanical room inspection at the end of each shift.
- Inspect and clean assigned Mechanical rooms and Tennis Room on a weekly basis.
- Clean and maintain landscaping equipment and court rollers per Grounds Managers instruction.
- Inspect Ladies Locker room/ washroom and replace burnt out bulbs.
- Remove Robotic vacuum from swimming pools.
- Completion of various other tasks assigned by Operations Manager, Groundskeeping manager, Leads, or Building Maintenance staff .
- Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- 2 Years Experience maintaining Clay Tennis Courts.
- High school diploma.
- Occasional heavy lifting (50-80lbs).
- Frequent walking.
- Experience operating court rollers and leaf blowers.
- Qualified and competent in use of elevated work platforms.
- Work from heights on ladders and scaffolds.
- Computer literate.
- Oral and written English required.
- Required to work weekends, weekdays and/or holidays, AM and PM

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $24.84.
