Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly Orthodontic Receptionist to join our dental team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, and facilitate effective communication between patients and our orthodontic specialist.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while working in a quick-paced, supportive environment.

The hours are Monday and Thursday 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM in Mississauga. On Friday, we travel as a team to Brantford. The hours are 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM.

One person to cover both locations is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere for all visitors
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using Orthotrac dental software. multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, relay messages, and direct calls efficiently




- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Verify insurance details, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail
- Coordinate with orthodontists and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry pulling charts

Requirements

- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is necessary; orthodontic experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Prior experience working with insurance processing, billing, or financial transactions is desirable
