StayCare Alberta Homecare Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable male Personal Support Worker to provide full-time support to a client in their private residence.

This position involves assisting a male client with personal and intimate care. A male support worker is required to protect the client’s privacy, comfort and dignity. Fluency in Punjabi is required to communicate effectively with the client about care needs, preferences and safety.

Responsibilities

- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
- Support mobility, transfers and safe positioning
- Provide medication reminders according to the care plan
- Assist with eating and hydration
- Provide companionship and meaningful activities
- Accompany the client on walks or approved outings
- Complete light housekeeping related to the client’s care
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition
- Complete accurate daily care documentation
- Follow the client’s care plan and StayCare policies





Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker, caregiver or related training preferred
- Previous home-care or personal-care experience is an asset
- Fluent in Punjabi and able to communicate in English
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Able to travel reliably to the client’s residence for every shift
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Dependable, respectful and able to work independently
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
