Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. As a vital part of our estimating department, you will be responsible for accurately assessing plumbing requirements, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure competitive pricing, efficient project planning, and seamless execution from bid to completion.

Duties

- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope of work for plumbing systems
- Develop detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software such as Autodesk Revit 3D and Bluebeam
- Excellent mathematical skills, good with numbers.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish accurate project timelines and budgets
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing and terms
- Prepare bid proposals that clearly outline scope, costs, and timelines for client review




- Analyze project risks and identify potential cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence for future reference

Skills

- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively secure favorable pricing and terms
- Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously
- Solid understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation processes within the construction industry
- Experience in construction estimating with a focus on plumbing projects is highly preferred
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings accurately
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams confidently
