Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hard working poultry stock attendant. The ideal candidate will help to manage poultry layer facilities by monitoring health, keeping logs, and fulfilling all seasonal general farm duties. This job will be responsible for maintaining poultry equipment, gathering eggs, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the poultry facilities.

Duties

- Gathering Eggs
- Direct farm feed inventory activities
- Handling animals
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Track and report on current feed inventory
- Treat livestock health issues
- Feed and tend animals
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
- Maintain production records
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintain livestock performance records




- Maintain quality control and production records
- Maintain work records and logs
- Detect disease and health problems in livestock and poultry
- Perform general farm duties
- Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken facilities.
- Maintain clean and sanitary poultry houses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Flexible language requirement

- French not required

Experience:
- Poultry egg layer: 1 year (preferred)
