About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Scientist with expertise in Analytical Development to lead critical projects in Kimberley . This senior role focuses on developing, validating, and implementing robust analytical methods for the characterization and quality control of pharmaceutical products and intermediates. You will work within a highly cooperative R&D; environment, leveraging your deep understanding of analytical chemistry principles to ensure product quality and support regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and validation of analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy) for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

Troubleshoot and optimize existing analytical methods to improve performance, efficiency, and robustness.

Characterize impurities and degradation products, and establish appropriate specifications.

Author and review method validation reports, analytical procedures, and transfer protocols.

Provide expert analytical support for formulation development,



process development, and stability studies.

Mentor junior analytical scientists and contribute to the scientific strategy of the department.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of analytical techniques, including HPLC, UPLC, GC, MS, and dissolution testing.

Strong understanding of ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements for analytical method validation.

Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior scientists.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong scientific documentation background.
