At FTE Drilling, our IT function is currently managed by an external service provider. We are now looking to build and lead our own internal IT department, and you would be laying its foundation. You know how to develop a strategic roadmap while ensuring that systems run smoothly day to day, and you have the leadership skills to bring teams together around a change initiative? This opportunity is for you.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Designing and implementing the IT strategy, including short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps, in collaboration with senior management
Establishing governance for the current IT department, including policies, processes, and dashboards
Overseeing the day-to-day operations, security, and continuity of information systems, including availability, incidents, backups, and disaster recovery plans
Leading IT transformation projects, including ERP, CRM, and automation initiatives, while coordinating the service providers involved
Managing external vendor contracts and assessing which functions should be brought in-house rather than outsourced
Managing the IT budget and providing reporting and technology risk assessments to the Group CFO

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS University degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or an equivalent degree in management combined with relevant technical experience
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3 to 5 years in a senior management role, such as IT Director or IT Service Manager
Proven experience managing external service providers and leading transitions from outsourced to in-house IT operations
Experience in IT governance, ERP/CRM integration projects, and operational security
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to senior management and thrive in a growing SME environment where versatility is essential
ASSETS ITIL certification
CISSP certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
Cloud certification, such as Azure or AWS
