Financial Analyst – Securities & Financial Reporting

Contract: 12 months

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join a small finance team supporting financial reporting and securities-related activities. The successful candidate will have a robust accounting foundation, experience working with securities and large data sets, and the ability to deliver accurate reporting within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Calculate foreign exchange (FX) P&L; and trade exposures
Support financial reporting and accounting activities
Review and analyze large volumes of financial and transactional data
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
Support ongoing business-as-usual finance activities and ad hoc requests
Manage deliverables and reporting deadlines in a rapid-paced environment

Must-Have Qualifications




5–7 years of relevant financial analysis/accounting experience
Solid financial reporting experience
Experience working with securities and/or financial markets
Solid accounting knowledge and experience
Experience analyzing and reconciling large data sets
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Nice to Have
Accounting designation and/or CFA
Previous experience within a banking or financial services environment
Experience with FX P&L;, trade exposure, or securities reporting
