Become an Electrician with the Minnesota Department of Corrections in Moose Lake. This full time role focuses on electrical system maintenance and oversight of inmate work crews. As an Electrician, your main responsibility is supervising an inmate crew while ensuring the proper upkeep of various electrical systems and training on safety protocols.

You will directly implement maintenance and installations for fire alarms and kitchen equipment, enhancing operational efficiency in a secure setting. Your contributions will enhance safety and security within the facility, making every day meaningful. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise inmate crews in electrical maintenance tasks
Train personnel on safety and preventive practices




Conduct repairs on kitchen and electrical systems
Maintain security protocols over tools and supplies
Document installation and maintenance procedures Requirements:
Must be a registered Class A Journey or Master Electrician
Educational background in Electronics required
Experience with fire and security systems preferred
Previous work in correctional facilities is a plus
