Above & Beyond Landscaping is looking for an experienced and skilled Deck Builder to join our growing landscape construction team. In this role, you will lead deck construction projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and has the experience to build beautiful, structurally sound decks from start to finish (specializing in composite).
The ideal candidate is a reliable, hardworking professional who can work independently, lead a small crew when required, and maintain our high standards of quality and workmanship.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate deck building projects, overseeing all phases from framing to finishing.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution.
Perform concrete forming, finishing as needed for structural support.
Conduct construction estimating for project materials and labor costs to ensure profitability.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper equipment handling.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in deck building
Proven experience as a deck builder or lead carpenter with a solid portfolio of completed projects.
Robust knowledge of deck framing, structural construction, and finishing.
Experience installing composite decking including Trex and TimberTech
Ability to build decks independently from start to finish
Experience constructing stairs and installing railing systems
Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project management practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise team members and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation
