About the Role The Team Lead, JDE E1 is a high-impact, consultative functional role responsible for architecting and guiding solutions across Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and integrated systems. Acting as a solo functional architect and subject matter expert, you will bridge the gap between business process owners, management, and IT/IS teams. This role drives support, continuous enhancements, and key business transformation projects—including SAP to JDE conversions, entity acquisitions, and multi-site client setups (e.g., Brantford). While you will not have direct line management duties, you will serve as the guiding lead for onshore/offshore technical and functional resources, establishing structure, providing solution direction, and ensuring business process optimization across non-finance operations.
Key Responsibilities Functional Solution Architecture & Leadership: Serve as the solo architect/lead, guiding functional and technical teams through solution design, issue resolution, business process re‑engineering, and work plan execution.
Project Execution & Transformation: Lead JDE configuration, business process changes, functional specifications, and testing for acquisitions, SAP-to-JDE conversion projects, and new client implementations.
Business Process Optimization: Partner with stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and sales to streamline workflows, eliminate process/data gaps, and build long‑term JDE solution roadmaps.
Application Support & Enhancements: Oversee ongoing functional support and system enhancements across non‑finance modules,



identifying root causes, analyzing system trends, and improving performance and stability without being bogged down by day‑to‑day incident escalation.
Stakeholder & Change Management: Translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders, author functional design specifications, develop user manuals and training documentation, and lead business change initiatives.
Resource & Delivery Oversight: Collaborate with onshore and offshore vendor partners to ensure thoroughness, process adherence, and balanced workload distribution across projects.
Qualifications & Key Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
JDE Functional Expertise: 10+ years of functional analyst experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in a team lead or consultative leadership role guiding functional projects and offshore/onshore teams.
Core Module Proficiency: Deep functional expertise in at least one of the following core streams: Order-to-Cash (O2C): Order management, sales & distribution, pricing, and fulfillment.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain: Bill of Materials (BOM) setup, Shop Floor Management, shop floor costing, demand/supply forecasting,



inventory management, and Procurement.
Finance: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and integrated operational costing.

Transformation & Conversion Experience: Hands‑on experience with full lifecycle implementations, system conversions (specifically SAP to JDE), entity acquisitions, and multi-site rollouts.
Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates coming from a manufacturing background or supporting manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong consultative mindset with proven expertise architecting and delivering JDE E1 enterprise solutions. Exceptional ability to build relationships with business stakeholders, analyze operational needs, and drive continuous improvement. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including technical writing, business presentations, and power‑user training. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities, managing multiple project inputs without direct supervision.
