Education & Experience

- Grade 10 education or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hospitality or healthcare setting is an asset.
- WHMIS Certification and knowledge of janitorial / housekeeping equipment required.
- Related certifications are an asset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clean resident common areas and individual suites to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
2. Engage in conversation with residents while cleaning their suite or in common areas.
3. Collect, launder, and deliver linens to resident rooms while ensuring laundry supplies are restocked, and equipment is used safely.
4. Prepare and utilize cleaning solutions according to established safety protocols and WHMIS standards, established procedures and safe practices.
5. Monitor the condition of all tools and equipment,



reporting any faults or safety hazards to management promptly.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with residents, guests, volunteers and employees.
- An engaging personality with the physical and mental fitness to perform all assigned duties independently and with minimal supervision.
- Competency in English to effectively follow and communicate written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge about the safe use of cleaning chemicals, housekeeping and janitorial equipment.
