This position involves operating heavy machinery and performing various labor tasks essential to our projects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy equipment operation, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
Safely operate dump trucks and/or flatbeds to transport materials, tools, and machinery
Perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
Load/unload materials and equipment as needed
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Support the crew with manual labour tasks when not driving
Maintain a clean and organized work setting.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dump truck driver or in a similar role.
Experience in commercial driving is preferred.
Proficient in operating various construction equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers) is an asset.
Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and operate machinery for extended periods.
Strong knowledge of construction site safety standards.
A valid DZ driver's license is required.
Valid AZ license an asset
heavy equipment operator, WHIMIS, Common Core, DZ drivers license are assets.
