The Club is recruiting for a Receiver (Part time, every Tue & Thu) to join our Purchasing Team. The main responsibility is for receiving goods/services from suppliers and storing them into appropriate stock locations.

This position is required to work every Tue & Thu

(11 am - 4 pm, 10 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities

- Receives all products entering the Club; examines contents and compares them with records, such as invoices or orders, to verify accuracy of products and goods received
- Labels and identifies products and items when received, prior to storing in inventory
- Utilizes First In, First Out (FIFO) policy; unpack and disperse products and goods to designated areas
- Performs general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products by hand or using material handling equipment
- Completes appropriate receiving documentation as required including backup documents for purchase orders
- Maintains cleanliness of the receiving area and dry goods storage




- Communicates with supervisor on quality of products received, and reports any damaged goods
- Works in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and any safety policies and procedures set out by the Club

Job Requirements

Education/Certification

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Food Handler’s certification an asset

Experience

- 1-2 years relevant experience in receiving and inventory management in the hospitality industry preferred

Skills

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize efficiently within short timeframes
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs, and lift heavy items to chest level
- Office equipment and computer literacy in a qualified setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other departments
