We are looking for a Part Time Registered Dental Hygienist to work Thursdays and Saturdays in the Upper Beaches.

Successfully completed a recognized dental hygiene program. Current registration with the CDHO Current CPR training and Computer skills an asset.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Must be friendly, enthusiastic and a team player. Great customer service skills.

Must be able to communicate diagnosis and Treatment options with patients and assist in providing comprehensive care for patients.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventive care, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience in a professional and welcoming environment.

Duties

- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.




- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Paradigm and Dentrix.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric patients and assist with orthodontic treatments when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing questions about treatment plans and oral health concerns.

Skills

- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Paradigm or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and terminology to support orthodontic patients effectively.
- Experience working with pediatric patients to create a comfortable environment for children.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations are highly desirable.
- Strong background in dental assisting combined with clinical expertise in hygiene procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive patient relationships.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry for accurate communication within the team.
