Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Receiving Inspector in the electro-mechanical assembly industry in Ottawa, Ontario. The Receiving Inspector performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. They are responsible for performing packaging line and manufacturing inspections, as well as sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. The Receiving Inspector also ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. The RI may apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. They may also assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labelling regulations. Thus, minimizing downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.

Responsibilities

- Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures and checklists
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming material
- Reads assembly and process documentation
- Has working knowledge of the IPC 610 Standard
- Contributes to identifying, articulating and escalating problems or issues for Technical Support or Engineering,



and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action
- Recognizes discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product, or process, and recommends changes
- Conducts product inspection, documenting as required, according to specific procedures
- Properly executes on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions

Requirements

- Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years’ related experience
