Provide maintenance support and cleaning services as a Building Superintendent I for Community Housing. This hands-on role involves interior and exterior property upkeep and preparing units for current tenants.

The County of Simcoe is looking for a skilled Building Superintendent I to oversee daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring the upkeep of Community Housing properties. You will be responsible for unit preparation, grounds work, and dealing with tenant issues in a respectful manner. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintenance methods is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure thorough cleaning of public areas within properties
• Prepare vacant units for incoming tenants promptly
• Regularly dispose of garbage and recycling waste




• Track supply inventory and make requisitions as necessary
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as they arise

Requirements:
• Minimum one year of maintenance/janitorial experience
• “Handyperson” skills for light repairs are a plus
• Valid G Class Driver’s Licence for maintenance travel
• Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment usage
• Excellent communication for tenant relations
