The Township of Langley is seeking an Electrician for its Facilities Division. This full time, temporary position emphasizes the maintenance and upgrade of municipal electrical systems from October 2026 until late 2027.

In this role, you will perform a range of skilled tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical controls and related systems. You will manage emergency calls and ensure the functionality of generators and municipal electrical facilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and technical materials is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:



• Perform construction wiring tasks in municipal buildings • Install electrical systems and services efficiently • Maintain and repair backup systems and electrical controls • Estimate materials for various projects • Address emergency electricity issues as needed

Requirements: • Grade 12 completion with relevant electrical training • Significant experience with electrical control equipment • Decision-making abilities under pressure • BC Class 5 full privilege Driver’s License • Necessary British Columbia Electrical Qualification Certificates
