WCI Paving Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Asphalt Roller Operator to join our paving crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 10-ton asphalt roller on commercial, municipal and residential paving projects.

Responsibilities
Safely operate a 10-ton roller during asphalt placement and compaction
Achieve proper compaction, grade and a smooth finished surface
Follow the rolling pattern and communicate closely with the paving foreman and crew
Monitor asphalt temperature and identify areas requiring additional compaction
Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Maintain the roller in clean and good operating condition
Assist the paving crew with other duties when required
Follow all company health and safety policies and job-site procedures

Qualifications
Previous experience operating a 10-ton asphalt roller is required
Robust understanding of asphalt compaction techniques and rolling patterns
Ability to work safely around paving equipment, trucks and moving traffic
Dependable,



punctual and able to work effectively as part of a crew
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Available to work long hours, early mornings and occasional weekends when required
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
Relevant safety training and equipment certifications are considered assets
