W.L. Seaton Secondary School invites applications for a temporary nsyilxcn Language Teacher position for Grades 8-12, effective February 1, 2027. This role continues until June 25, 2027.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate experience in teaching nsyilxcn language along with possessing a valid BC Teaching Certificate. Self-declaring Indigenous ancestry will be an advantage. Applicants must have a Bachelor's in Education and have experience employing various instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in nsyilxcn language effectively
• Implement wide-ranging teaching strategies for student engagement
• Collaborate with educational team members
• Maintain a positive classroom discipline




• Integrate technology and innovative practices in teaching

Requirements:
• BC Teaching Certificate and qualification for a Teaching Qualification Card
• Bachelor of Education, preferably with a relevant major/minor
• Proven experience in teaching nsyilxcn language
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Competence in modern teaching practices and assessments
