The Sobeys family is looking for a passionate and experienced marketing professional to join our team as a Sponsorship Specialist. In this role, you will help bring our grocery brands to life through a dynamic portfolio of sports, community, and cultural partnerships. You'll play a key role in managing day-to-day partner relationships, developing and executing integrated sponsorship programs, and delivering impactful experiences that connect with customers and support our broader business objectives.
Individual Accountabilities: Lead the execution of Sobeys' sponsorship strategy through integrated marketing programs that prioritize sales growth, strengthen brand awareness, and deepen customer engagement.
Build and manage day-to-day relationships with sponsorship partners, ensuring contractual rights are fulfilled and partnerships deliver business value.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop, execute, and optimize sponsorship marketing campaigns, including Scene+ integration and supplier-funded programs.




Lead the development of marketing briefs, creative execution, project timelines, budgets, and approvals to ensure flawless program delivery.
Manage sponsorship partner requests, internal communications, marketing calendars, and project tracking to support successful program execution.
Partner with Media, Insights, and external agencies to measure campaign performance and identify opportunities to optimize future sponsorship activations.
Position Requirements: An Undergraduate Degree
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in marketing, advertising, sponsorship, or retail / merchandising workplace
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Passion for marketing, sponsorship, and the emotional connection of food, family, + experience
Knowledge of digital platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills
