Job Summary
Syntax is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect specializing in Materials Management (MM) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end SAP solutions. In this role, you will partner with business and technical stakeholders to shape scalable, integrated solutions that support procurement, inventory, and supply chain processes while driving transformation in S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead solution architect for SAP S/4HANA MM, overseeing solution design, configuration, and delivery aligned with business objectives.

Define the SAP MM architecture and integration strategy across SAP and non-SAP systems, including Ariba, SuccessFactors,



and Concur.

Lead fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and functional design workshops with stakeholders and business process owners.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance SAP solutions.

Ensure alignment between technical design, process flows, and business requirements.

Collaborate with development teams to define enhancements, extensions, and customizations.

Support data migration, testing strategy, and cutover activities during implementation and rollout phases.

Provide thought leadership and best practices for S/4HANA transformation and MM optimization.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on SAP roadmaps, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in SAP MM implementation and solution architecture roles.

At least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations as a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant.

Deep understanding of procurement, inventory management, invoice verification, and material valuation.

Solid knowledge of integration points with SD, PP, WM/EWM, and FI/CO.

Experience with SAP Best Practices, Activate methodology, and Fiori applications.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities.





Proficiency in English is necessary for client-facing implementation activities across multiple regions.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA certification in MM or Supply Chain.

Experience in global template design, rollouts, or multi-country deployments.

Knowledge of Ariba integration, Procurement Analytics, or SAP BTP extensions.

Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery models.

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

SAP S/4HANA certification in MM, Supply Chain, or a related area is preferred.

Additional certifications in SAP solution architecture, supply chain, or cloud-enabled SAP technologies are a plus.
