DHL Express is looking for a Casual Courier Driver to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is an on-call position requiring availability between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities: Drive a van to complete assigned deliveries and pick-ups
Lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs throughout the shift
Scan and process freight as per agreed procedures and security policies
Accurately sort and process inbound material by deadlines
Move freight within the warehouse area as required
Assist the Tracing Department with warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands
Perform accurate reporting
Participate in warehouse organization, clean-up, and maintaining a safe work setting
Interact with customers professionally in person and over the phone
Complete other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift supervisor
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions




Good knowledge of MS Office; comfortable Excel user
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Excellent ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Ability to handle bulky, heavy, awkward shipments
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Minimum one year warehouse/customer service experience (asset)
Understanding of First Choice Programs and Global SOP (asset)
Wage: $23.83/hour, increasing as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Schedule: On-call availability required between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
High school diploma or equivalent; valid Class 5 driver's licence with clean driving record; good knowledge of MS Office including Excel; excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods; minimum one year warehouse or customer service experience (asset)
