The Construction Layout Surveyor will be preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to assume liability for the work being performed. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Review and confirm the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites;

Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain;

Establish and provide heights from start to finish of the project;

Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines (additional control points correctly as necessary based on survey control), elevations, and other geodetic measurements;

Provide construction crews with the necessary control lines established from survey control points;

Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects;

Inspect and ensure all layout equipment and accessories are in good working order to maintain their accuracy;





Comprehensive understanding of robotic total station and basic understanding of AutoCAD;

Conduct as-built surveys of site.

Skills and Experience

Minimum two (2) years of construction experience as a Construction Layout Surveyor, working on a variety of job sites including commercial and multi-residential;

Experience with using total stations and GPS systems;

Valid Class 5 driver’s license and/or reliable transportation;

Ability to lift up 50 lbs and perform physical demanding duties.
