Senior BI and Insight Analyst
to join their team in
Toronto, Ontario . This is a full-time role where you'll sit at the intersection of data engineering and business strategy, turning complex datasets into clear, actionable intelligence that drives decisions across the organization. You'll work across the full
analytics lifecycle
— from gathering requirements with business stakeholders right through to delivering polished dashboards and reporting solutions. The work spans
marketing, loyalty, merchandising, and promotional analytics , making it a genuinely varied and high-impact position. About the Role: Sr. BI and Insight Analyst
At the core of this role is the ability to translate business questions into scalable
data and visualization solutions . You'll partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to understand what they need, then design and build the pipelines, models, and dashboards that deliver those insights. Tools like
Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
are central to how this team works. Equally important is your ability to communicate findings clearly.
Data accuracy, governance standards , and consistent reporting practices are a priority — and so is the ability to present complex analytical results in a way that resonates with non-technical audiences and leadership teams alike. Benefits and Salary
Canadian Tire offers a
broadband salary range of $64,000 to $106,000 , with a typical hiring range between
$64,000 and $90,000
depending on experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Beyond base pay, the company provides

This role covers a broad scope of analytics work, from pipeline development and data modelling to stakeholder collaboration and insight communication. You'll be expected to own your work end-to-end and continuously look for ways to improve the reporting frameworks and data assets your team relies on. Partner with business stakeholders
to understand reporting and analytical requirements, translating business questions into scalable data and visualization solutions Identify, source, and integrate
data from multiple enterprise systems to support business intelligence and analytical initiatives Design, develop, and maintain
automated data pipelines and curated analytical datasets using SQL, Python/PySpark, and cloud-based analytics platforms Leverage modern analytics technologies
such as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI to build efficient, scalable, and maintainable reporting solutions Design and develop
robust data models, semantic models, and reporting datasets that enable trusted, high-performing self-service analytics Apply data modelling best practices
including dimensional modelling, star schema design, fact and dimension structures, and measure governance Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards , scorecards, and visualization solutions that provide meaningful insights to business users and leadership teams Develop advanced DAX calculations , KPIs, performance metrics, custom tooltips, and drill-through experiences to enhance analytical capabilities Conduct analysis
of campaign, customer, loyalty, sales, and promotional performance to identify trends, opportunities,
and business drivers Ensure data accuracy and quality
by implementing validation processes, data governance standards, and reporting best practices Communicate complex analytical findings
through clear visualizations, presentations, and business-focused storytelling Continuously improve
reporting frameworks, data assets, and analytical processes through automation, optimization, and innovation Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings a solid technical foundation in
SQL, Python, and Power BI
alongside solid business acumen and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders. Canadian Tire values people who can operate independently across the analytics lifecycle while collaborating well within a cross-functional team. Bachelor's degree
in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline 3+ years of experience
in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, performance measurement, or a related field Strong SQL skills
with experience querying, transforming, and validating large datasets Hands‑on Power BI experience
including data modelling, DAX development, report design, and dashboard visualization Dimensional modelling knowledge
covering fact and dimension tables, star schema design, and semantic model development Experience with automated data pipelines
using Python, PySpark, SQL, or similar technologies Experience with cloud‑based analytics platforms
such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks (highly desirable) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline. 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, performance measurement, or a related field.
