TheLethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a full-timefixed-term position of Forensic Digital Examiner within the CriminalInvestigation Section. The anticipated term end date is December 31, 2027 withthe possibility of an extension beyond that date.
We areseeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional who demonstratesstrong analytical ability, sound judgement, and a commitment to supportingcomplex criminal investigations through specialized technical expertise.
TheDigital Forensic Unit plays a critical role in modern investigations,supporting investigators through the collection, analysis, and interpretationof digital evidence from a wide range of devices and systems. As digitalevidence continues to be central to policing, this position ensures evidence isexamined in a manner that is forensically sound, legally compliant, andsuitable for court proceedings.




Reportingto the Sergeant in charge of the Forensic Identification Unit, the DigitalForensic Examinerfunctions as a subject matter expert conducting advancedforensic examinations, providing technical advice to investigators, andpreparing clear, defensible reports for judicial processes. The role requiresindependent judgment, precision, and the ability to adapt rapidly evolvingtechnology and investigative demands.
