Full-Time Jewellery Sales Associate

Austen Jewellers — Okotoks, Alberta

Position: Sales Associate - Permanent, full time

Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour

Schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday plus every other Saturday

Experience: Three-Years of direct customer sales experience: retail, hospitality, auto, etc

Jewellery experience: An asset, but not required

Work location: In person

Applicants must

- Be available to work Full -Time 9-6pm Monday-Friday plus every other Saturday (Some Flexibility 6-Week Advances Schedule)
- Have strong customer service and communication skills
- Be able to stand and remain active throughout the workday
- Be dependable, trustworthy, and attentive to detail
- Be comfortable learning detailed technical and product information
- Be comfortable handling small items and valuable merchandise
- Provide a satisfactory criminal record check if selected for the position

About the Position For 36 years, Austen Jewellers has proudly served Okotoks and the surrounding Foothills. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated Sales Associate to join our showroom team. The right person will genuinely enjoy working with people, building lasting relationships, and continuously learning.

Jewellery experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training in diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, watches, jewellery care, repairs, custom design, and customer service.





Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and understand their needs, preferences, and budget
- Recommend and explain jewellery, watches, repairs, and other services
- Build customer relationships before, during, and after each sale
- Receive and accurately document jewellery and watch repairs
- Learn basic service procedures, including watch battery replacement
- Assist customers in beginning the custom-design process
- Maintain accurate customer information in our point-of-sale system
- Assist with inventory, merchandising, and showroom presentation
- Follow all security procedures
