We currently have a temporary opening for a dynamic and energetic Marketing & Communications Advisor in our Corporate Head Office in Edmonton. The duration of this contract will be six (6) months in length with the possibility of extension. This hands‑on role provides support to all levels of the organization and is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate level professional who would like to be involved in all Marketing and Communications initiatives from concept to creation.

With exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, the successful candidate will have the ability to independently manage a varying and demanding workload. A keen eye for detail will allow for success in meeting the requirements of accuracy and remarkable quality.

What You’ll Do:

Build a recommended marketing vision and strategy and implement as approved;

Create and deliver press releases, fact sheets and annual report;

Develop marketing and promotional materials using a variety of mediums;

Assist with the development of marketing content for company website;

Research industry media coverage and keep current with industry trends;

Promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives;

Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all marketing programs and initiatives to senior management;

Provide support for the planning of special events, conventions, webinars and training sessions;

Write, manage and monitor all company social media content;

Oversee promotional product inventory; including ordering, receiving, shipping and tracking and maintaining documentation and handling vendor payments;

Manage all administrative components of the Marketing and Communications function;

Various other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring:

Post-secondary education in Marketing and/or Communications;

Minimum five (5)



years related experience in a similar role; previous customer service background and/or insurance industry knowledge would be an asset;

Advanced technical skills using Microsoft office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign and Google Analytics;

Motivated, self‑starter and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction;

A strong attention to detail;

Exceptional organizational skills and the desire to work in a fast‑paced deadline driven workplace where the ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities is imperative;

Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers;

Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences (including senior management, peers, vendors, etc.);

Team player and able to work effectively with a wide variety of people and provide seamless support across multiple locations.
