Senior Business Analyst to support Wealth Management initiatives using Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and SOQL - 41682
Duration: Until 31 Dec (possibility of extension)
Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid - 3 days/week
Business group: The Global Wealth Engineering team is leading a multi-year digital transformation to deliver a best-in-class Advisor Desktop for Canadian Wealth Management (CWM).
The Business Analyst will support Wealth Management initiatives built on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). The ideal candidate combines strong BA fundamentals with hands‑on Salesforce knowledge, particularly within the Financial Services Cloud ecosystem. This role requires translating business requirements into clear user stories, supporting testing activities, and collaborating across multiple teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Must Haves
8 years of experience as a business analyst within the Financial Services industry, with a strong preference for Wealth Management exposure, and at least 3 years of experience in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end‑to‑end ownership on behalf of the Product Owner during project execution, knowing when to assume responsibility for the related project deliverables, or seeking approval
Manage timely and accurate delivery of tasks for assigned projects through all stages of the project life cycle from concept to implementation. E.g., track tasks, map process flows, document requirements/stories, testing, liaise with Business, Development and Vendors, communication plan execution, etc., ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed of all unresolved issues, other areas of concern and any other deviations from project timelines
Hands‑on experience with SOQL scripting (including data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting) and ETL and integration tools, such as:
Salesforce Data Loader
Nice to Have
Experience with Salesforce integration tools (MuleSoft, Talend)
At least one active Salesforce certification obtained prior to joining (certifications will be verified), including one or more of the following:
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
Salesforce Certified Developer I
Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
Testing experience within Salesforce environments
Experience with data migration or ETL concepts
Soft skills
Working knowledge of software delivery methodologies, including release management, change management, and training/support models
Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, delivery methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), and expected outputs at each phase
Highly analytical and solution‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills and the drive to move initiatives forward
A creative, self‑starting, and results‑oriented mindset, with high motivation and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams
Strong verbal communication and business writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels within a cross‑functional environment
Demonstrated experience working with a technology product end to end, from discovery and requirements through delivery and implementation
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
At least one active Salesforce certification obtained prior to joining (certifications will be verified), including one or more of the following:
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
Salesforce Certified Developer I
Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence
Responsibilities
Partner with Wealth business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
Translate requirements into clear, structured user stories for Salesforce development teams
Support testing activities, including functional validation and defect triage
Analyze and manipulate Salesforce data using SOQL and Data Loader
Collaborate across multiple teams (business, technology, operations) to ensure alignment
Support ongoing enhancements and steady‑state applications within Financial Services Cloud
Contribute to data‑related tasks, including data loads and data quality checks
Ensure solutions align with Wealth Management processes and regulatory expectations

1st – Hiring manager or senior manager– Online – 30- mins - scenario-based questions. General experience and role overview.
2nd – Director and Senior BA– In person at 4 King Street- 60 mins - probing questions on business requirements, Technical capabilities and cultural fit.
