THE ROLE As an Overhead Crane Technician , you will be working at various manufacturing plants throughout the GTA, repairing overhead cranes. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling to various sites while working for a reputable well-established company that treats you like a family member. You will be given a work truck to travel to different plants to perform repair services and preventative maintenance on the cranes. The position is based out of Oakville, but 90% of your time is working offsite. We are looking for someone with 5 years' experience as an overhead crane technician.
ADVANTAGES Great starting pay of $38-$52/hour
Day shift Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm
Permanent position based out of Oakville or travelling in GTA
Overtime and double-time pay for on-call work which is on a rotation basis

RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
Display a professional image and work within a team setting to accomplish goals
Inspect hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls, and pullers
Order parts and maintain inventory
Keep maintenance reports and documentation
Perform crane inspections, repairs, and installations and respond to breakdown calls
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
REQUIREMENTS: 5 years experience as an overhead crane technician OR certified Electrician
Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent as a minimum
3 Years of Hands-On Electrical Experience- the ideal candidate will have a 309A license
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Welding experience is considered an asset
Mechanical aptitude
Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
Lifting up to 50lbs
Knowledge and understanding of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
Able to work in elevated areas
Must have reliable own transportation, G License in good standing
