Department: Central Records and Exhibits
Types dictated investigation and occurrence reports and processes all police contact interviews into the Versaterm Records Management System(RMS).Ensures that all information is current and accurate.
Operates a computer terminal and police software systems to enter and amend information and respond to enquiries as required.
Files and retrieves reports, criminal records, warrants and various other documents for Police personnel.
Sorts, scans and indexes a variety of documents.
Responds to in-person enquiries from Police personnel.
Provides backup support for other office positions as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a business college.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Typing speed of 55 w.p.m.
One year’s diversified office experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of up-to-date office practices and procedures.
Demonstrated skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks.
Ability to pass the Saskatoon Police Service security clearance process.
Ability to handle multiple,
concurrent demands while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Skill in the operation of office equipment, including a computer and scanner.
Hours of Work:
Shift work and weekend work isinvolved; 12-hour rotating shifts as follows:
3 Day Shifts, 2 NightShifts, 5Days Off;
2 Day Shifts, 2 Night Shifts, 5 Days Off;
2 Day Shifts, 3 Night Shifts, 4 Days Off.
$47,427.84 to $52,288.80 per annum (2026rates)
Shift Differential:
As per Article 26 of the CUPE 59 Collective Agreement:
In addition to the regular salary rate, a shift differential shall be paid to any employee, whose hours of work fall within the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m (midnight) or 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 8:00 a.m. Shift Differential rates are as follows:
Effective July 1, 2025 - $1.60
Effective July 1, 2027 - $1.70
