Flooring Liquidators operates 16 showrooms across Ontario, specializing in hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring, tile, building materials, and kitchen products.

Our Ottawa showroom is conveniently located near public transit. We are looking for a motivated Sales Associate / Customer Service Representative with a passion for home improvement, renovations, and interior design to join our team.

Job Summary The Showroom Sales Associate will assist customers with product selection, provide expert recommendations, process orders, and support showroom operations. This role is ideal for someone with retail sales, flooring sales, renovation sales, or customer service experience.

REQUIRED SCHEDULE

Applicants must be available to work the following schedule:

Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM(as needed)

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Monday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM(as needed)

Saturday and Sunday availability is mandatory.

About the Position

Flooring Liquidators is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Sales Associate to join our Ottawa East showroom.

This is a customer-facing sales position involving flooring and renovation products. You will assist customers with product selection, prepare invoices and orders, follow up with leads, answer phone/email inquiries and help close sales.

Main Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide professional sales assistance
- Recommend hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile and other renovation products
- Prepare orders, invoices and customer transactions




- Follow up with customers and sales leads
- Answer phone, email and in-store inquiries
- Coordinate orders, deliveries and installations
- Post advertisements on Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace
- Maintain an organized and presentable showroom
- Open and close the showroom independently

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of Canadian sales experience
- Minimum 2 years of Canadian customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication, customer service and closing skills
- Comfortable with computers, email, Excel, Word and POS systems
- Flooring, renovation or building-material sales experience is an asset
- Reliable, organized and comfortable working independently
- Fluent English
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
- Must be able to reliably commute to the Ottawa East location

Compensation & Training

$21/hour + commission

Paid training for approximately 3–4 weeks. Commission begins after the training period.

We are specifically looking for a LONG-TERM candidate who is dependable, sales-driven and interested in growing with the company.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
