We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 5- 10(General science) and Grade 11-12 (Chemistry, Biology, Physics). The ideal candidate will have a robust background in science education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse learners, including students with disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science through engaging lessons and innovative instructional methods.

Candidates should possess classroom experience and be comfortable integrating technology such as LMS platforms into their teaching practices. A background in special education, early childhood education, or tutoring is highly valued.

Duties

- Develop and deliver comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Incorporate LMS tools to enhance student learning and track progress
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations




- Provide additional support through tutoring sessions or individualized instruction as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
- Incorporate math, writing skills, and other cross-disciplinary elements into science instruction

Experience

- Prior classroom teaching experience in science or related subjects is required
- Experience working with children of various age groups, including early childhood education preferred
- Proven ability to design instructional materials tailored to diverse learning styles and needs
- Familiarity with LMS platforms for lesson delivery, assessment, and communication
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for students requiring additional support or accommodations
- Knowledge of current educational best practices in STEM education, instructional design, and tutoring techniques

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
