At St Paul’s Neurology Associates, we are dedicated to providing exceptional neurological care to our patients. Our team of skilled physicians and medical professionals work together to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered treatment in a supportive and efficient environment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our dynamic team.

The Medical Office Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our neurology practice.

Duties

Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process

Support front desk operations by managing appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling efficiently

Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly

Utilize medical office software systems (Cerner and Arya preferred) for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.

Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing paperwork related to patient visits and billing.

Coordinate with physicians and medical staff to streamline patient care processes.

Collaborate with external clinics operating within the hospital and service providers.

Prepare exam rooms, update patient information, and facilitate smooth clinic flow

Handle insurance verifications, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications with patients

Requirements





Proven experience working Medical Office Assistant or similar role that exemplifies efficiency and multitasking abilities

Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information

Experience using electronic health record systems such as Arya and Cerner for documentation and record keeping is a must

Excellent office experience with proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and front desk responsibilities

Ability to communicate clearly with patients while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting

Prior experience working with medical software platform is highly desirable
